Why would
you go it
alone?

Hi. I’m Elisabeth Root, former corporate GTM leader with a resume that spans PR, marketing, sales, big-tech partnerships and now, entrepreneuriship. My background, and my business, is anchored by a better-together philosophy, which means that as you work with me, you benefit from the dynamic relationships that weave throughout my life and career. I spend hours each week generating new ideas and insights through conversations about what’s happening in big tech, traditional corporate, AI startups, healing spaces, entrepreneurial journeys and everything in between. Some of these people also serve as ERA advisors and partners.

My Story:

I left my career in big tech when nobody thought I should. I was leading a global business for the Google Cloud Marketplace after having basically stumbled into tech via Amazon 12 years earlier. But as big tech shifted from high innovation to the language of battlefields, it became clear to me that it was time to re-engage with my light in a new way.

The light I’m talking about is the unique energy, super powers, special sauce (or whatever you like to call it) that fuels the work we do, and lets that work generate new energy in return. Not just the metrics we meet, but the unique way we drive them. That’s the light. My college Literary Theory professor was the first to help me see that mine was the ability to translated complex ambiguity into high value narratives. That awareness, hitting just at the right times, ignited all kinds of career transitions that didn’t really seem possible. My first job out of college was at the largest privately held global PR firm despite my somewhat weak internship record, where I stayed until the dot com boom kicked me into real estate. Where I did quite well until that market shift guided me over to Tableau despite my low-tech resume. From there to be the first ever builder of the global partners onboarding business for AWS when I knew next to nothing about partnerships and then finally to be recruited by Google Cloud where I became known for my ability to guide emerging tech firms into their most differentiated eras as strategic cloud partners.

There is a certain amount of inner chaos that would walk me to the edge and convince me I’d be okay even if I fell. I consider that moment the catalyst. When harnessed alongside awareness of our gift it ignites something that propels us into the next era. As the founder and principal at ERA I have the privilege of guiding high achievers from catalyst through clarity and into their highest value impact, becoming a unique and irreplaceable value to the companies, teams and clients they want to work with.

It’s trajectory changing work.

I leverage certifications in Integral Coaching (New Ventures West) and in various Contemplative Arts (yoga, mindfulness, etc) that help you uncover your highest differentiators and I plug that into my decades in business development and Go to Market strategy to help you take it to market. But mostly, I lean into my conviction that there comes a time when we need to decide that self sacrifice does not need to be in our job description.
